What is Balayam?
Balayam: Exercise for your Hair Follicles
Balayam, also known as nail rubbing, is a technique believed to promote hair growth and improve hair health. It is a natural therapy that originates from ancient Indian Ayurveda practices.
The word "balayam" is derived from two Sanskrit words: "bal" means hair or strength, and "ayam" means control or exercise. The technique involves rubbing the fingernails of both hands together vigorously for a specific period of time.
Advocates of balayam claim that the friction and pressure generated during nail rubbing stimulate the nerve endings and blood circulation in the scalp, which, in turn, can nourish the hair follicles and promote hair growth. It is believed to activate acupressure points on the fingertips that are connected to various organs, including the hair follicles.
Balayam is often recommended as a natural remedy for hair-related issues such as hair loss, premature graying, thinning hair, and dandruff. It is a simple and cost-effective technique that can be performed anywhere and at any time.
While anecdotal evidence suggests that some individuals have experienced positive results from practicing balayam, it's important to note that scientific studies supporting its effectiveness are limited. Hair growth and health are influenced by various factors, including genetics, overall health, and lifestyle choices. Therefore, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional or trichologist (hair specialist) for a comprehensive evaluation and personalized advice on hair care.
How to Use?
Step-by-Step Guide:
How to Use Keshaa
- Ensure that Keshaa is fully charged before using it for the first time. You can charge it by connecting the provided USB cable to a power source.
- Once Keshaa is charged, locate the four fingertip slots on the device. These slots are designed to accommodate all finger sizes.
- Place your fingers, excluding the thumb, into the four slots. The device's spring mechanism will gently hold your fingers in place.
- On the back side of Keshaa, you will find a button. Press this button once to activate the device.
- Keshaa will start vibrating, providing gentle stimulation to your fingertips. You will feel the vibration on your fingernails.
- While Keshaa is vibrating, you can go about your daily activities. It's convenient to use while working, reading, or relaxing.
- For optimal results, use Keshaa for approximately 2-3 minutes on one hand, visualizing rubbing your fingernails together. This mimics the Balayam technique.
- After 2-3 minutes, press the button again to stop the vibration. Remove your fingers from the slots.
- Repeat the process on the other hand, using Keshaa for another 2-3 minutes.
- You can use Keshaa twice daily, ideally in the morning and evening, for a total of 4-6 minutes per day.
Remember, consistency is key. Regular use of Keshaa will provide the best results for improving hair health and potentially reducing hair fall.
Note: Keshaa is designed for external use on the fingertips only. Avoid using it on sensitive or injured skin. If you experience any discomfort or adverse effects, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Ankur Sangwan –
One of the best inventions by SID07! Balayam yoga was introduced to me by my grand father during a time when I was having severe hairfall. I did balayam for around 6 months regularly and my hair was back to normal, at an age of 37. Now I do balayam regularly and my hair is good. This device will save so much time for me now and I don’t have to physically do balayam either! Amazing!
