What is Balayam?

Balayam: Exercise for your Hair Follicles

Balayam, also known as nail rubbing, is a technique believed to promote hair growth and improve hair health. It is a natural therapy that originates from ancient Indian Ayurveda practices.

The word "balayam" is derived from two Sanskrit words: "bal" means hair or strength, and "ayam" means control or exercise. The technique involves rubbing the fingernails of both hands together vigorously for a specific period of time.

Advocates of balayam claim that the friction and pressure generated during nail rubbing stimulate the nerve endings and blood circulation in the scalp, which, in turn, can nourish the hair follicles and promote hair growth. It is believed to activate acupressure points on the fingertips that are connected to various organs, including the hair follicles.

Balayam is often recommended as a natural remedy for hair-related issues such as hair loss, premature graying, thinning hair, and dandruff. It is a simple and cost-effective technique that can be performed anywhere and at any time.

While anecdotal evidence suggests that some individuals have experienced positive results from practicing balayam, it's important to note that scientific studies supporting its effectiveness are limited. Hair growth and health are influenced by various factors, including genetics, overall health, and lifestyle choices. Therefore, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional or trichologist (hair specialist) for a comprehensive evaluation and personalized advice on hair care.

A normal person can only perform a maximum of 200 cycles of Balayam per minute. Which means it can take

many months or even years

 to see results.
Manually performing the practice of Balayam regularly, at least twice daily for 10 minutes each, is

like adding a workout

to one’s daily routine – requires motivation, which for most people, fades away over time.
There are

currently no solutions

to electro-mechanically make the practice of Balayam easier and more efficient.

Keshaa allows a person to stimulate their fingertips like how they are stimulated with Balayam but at 7000 cycles per minute, which is

35 times higher

than what is possible with manual Balayam.– saves time.
Keshaa requires

no physical effort, works electronically, and can be conveniently charged

– thanks to the innovative product conceptualization, Keshaa would require to be charged only once in 2-3 weeks!

  6. While Keshaa is vibrating, you can go about your daily activities. It's convenient to use while working, reading, or relaxing.

  7. For optimal results, use Keshaa for approximately 2-3 minutes on one hand, visualizing rubbing your fingernails together. This mimics the Balayam technique.

  8. After 2-3 minutes, press the button again to stop the vibration. Remove your fingers from the slots.

    Safety Instructions

SID07 Keshaa simulates the yogic practice of Balayam. Even though Balayam is highly effective to reverse early-stage hair fall and improve general hair health, Balayam or Keshaa should NOT be seen as a 100% effective or guaranteed treatment to repair damaged hair follicles. This is because hair damage could be caused due to a wide variety of reasons for different people: environmental, genetic, stress induced, infection etc. Using Keshaa is like exercising your hair follicles - it strengthens them, and it is more of a preventive measure than a curative one. If you are already seeing symptoms of hair fall, we recommend that you consult your physician and use your Keshaa in conjunction with other hair treatments as suggested by your physician.
